Tess grew up in South West Rocks and completed her Bachelor of Clinical Science majoring in Osteopathic Studies & Human Structure and Function at Southern Cross University in Lismore. Being passionate about delivering the highest quality patient care with the latest techniques, Tess went on to complete her Masters of Osteopathic Medicine at Southern Cross University.


Tess is passionate about exercise rehabilitation and she believes that being active can help with prevention and re-occurrence of many injuries.  She has an extensive background with exercise and fitness such as swimming, surfing, triathlons, basketball, soccer and kayaking.  She has also been a local lifeguard and swimming instructor for several years.


Tess worked alongside orthopaedic surgeons in hospitals in India where the main focus was pre and post operative care and exercise rehabilitation.  She has also worked in practices in Australia such as Byron Bay, Perth and Port Macquarie. 


Tess uses a wide variety of treatment techniques such as joint mobilisation, muscle energy techniques, soft tissue release, dry needling, manipulation and also some more gentle techniques. She will tailor your treatment plan to your individual needs.

Kay graduated from Plymouth Marjon University in South Devon, England with a Bachelor of Healthcare Science and Master of Osteopathic Medicine. She has completed additional post graduate training in craniosacral therapy at the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy in the UK and women’s pelvic health at the Osteopathic Pelvic Health Institute of Australia, where she trained in internal pelvic floor strength and prolapse assessment and treatment.

 

Kay is passionate about helping her patients understand the role of the nervous system in pain and wellbeing and has a deep interest in the latest scientific understanding of how chronic pain develops and the best way to manage it. She takes an individual approach to every patient and focusses on helping her patients learn to read their own bodies and find their own unique way of working through restrictions, to obtain functional movement for everyday health, comfort and happiness.

 

Kay lives in Bellingen with her husband and teenage children and loves travelling to Gladstone two days a week for a change of scene. She is a qualified yoga teacher, trail runner and rock climber. She strongly believes that movement is the best form of medicine, and we all need to find our own way of bringing movement to our bodies and lives to obtain optimal health.

Dr Damian Harrison (Osteopath)

Damian has been supporting people with their health and wellbeing for nearly 20 years. His own deep love of nature, adventure and the beautiful world we live in guides a desire to support people in being able to lead happy and healthy, fulfilling lives.This has led initially to studies in Naturopathy and Biodynamic Craniosacral. However, inspired by the osteopathic lineage of craniosacral bodywork, Damian then went on to complete his Bachelor in Clinic Science and Masters of Osteopathic Medicine at Southern Cross University in Lismore. 

 

Damian weaves his wisdom as a naturopath and experience as a massage and biodynamic craniosacral therapist into his holistic osteopathic treatments. He enjoys working with people of all ages, from babies to the elderly, tailoring his treatments to meet their unique needs and goals. Damian enjoys sharing his knowledge to help support and empower people in looking after their health and finding joy in their own lives. 

 

Damian uses a holistic treatment approach to help people feel and function their best. After a thorough assessment, Damian utilises a range of hands-on techniques from osteopathic manipulation to craniosacral, home exercises and supportive lifestyle and nutritional advice. His treatments are negotiated and created together with the patient to meet their comfort and needs.

Josh graduated from Southern Cross University with a Bachelor of Clinical Science and a Masters of Osteopathic Medicine. He is passionate about the philosophy of osteopathy and routinely gratified in its application for a diversity of people from all walks of life.

 

Having studied various manual therapies and movement practices for the last 10 years, he has developed a deep appreciation of the body and its constant striving for health as an intelligent, dynamic and integrated system. Josh enjoys utilising a blend of exercise prescription in combination with hands-on techniques ranging from direct, 'structural' approaches such as manipulation to more gentle approaches such as cranial and balanced ligamentous tension.
